Transportation to Anchorage should be arranged prior to your arrival in Seward, and guests should plan their flight to allow for sufficient time for both the disembarking process and travel to the airport. On average, guests should not plan to be at the airport before the afternoon. There is a rental car kiosk located in the terminal, however, guests wishing to rent a vehicle should definitely reserve one ahead of time. Guests holding reservations with local transportation providers will be met by their drivers in the terminal.
A free local shuttle bus runs around town every 30 minutes, with five drop-off points. You could also take a taxi, but this is a small community, so it’s best to pre-book. On all cruises, your guide will be on the lookout for whales, sea otters, Dall's porpoise, seabirds, and other marine wildlife.
